Product Description

The effectivity and accuracy of fiber optic cabling as a transmission medium for audio applications depends in large part on the clarity of the fiber itself, and the reflectivity of the cladding around it. Impurities in the optical fiber itself degrades the light signal. Light waves do not travel perfectly along the central axis of the fiber optic core especially when the application requires multiple routing bends. ADE's DF800 cladding is of a lower refractive index than the core making it effectively reflect the light wave back towards the center of the optical fiber. This ensures optimum signal transmission from end to end, and eliminate bit errors. To minimize light dispersion at the point of termination, we carefully polished the ends multiple times. Our Low numerical aperture (NA) POF assures minimal transmission variations and delay for a more precise high fidelity audio reproduction, and loses only a small amount of light even when bent to a 25mm radius. Finally, our patented Spring-Loaded OPTILOCK connectors provides reliable contact alignment upon insertion, also making it equally easy to disconnect.
