Prestige Mono Block amplifiers

The Prestige mono blocks. These are massive power units dedicated to a single channel. You consequently require two of them to drive your front speakers. The mono blocks have a standard switch on the rear panel to put them in stand-by mode when they are not used with our Prestige preamplifier. The operation is simply a remote control key when the full Art & Technologie Prestige set is working together.

Prestige Mono Blocks can drive almost any speaker. They deliver some straight 150 Watts of power over 8 Ohms impedance speakers, in an immediate & natural manner.

The 2010 Prestige range is the state of the art in the best of breed approach from Art & Technologie. Here, more than anywhere else in our electronics, do apply our tagline. Intense musical fidelity. We pushed all frontiers to have the room we needed to have our design breathe, respect and transmit the music, which is delivered to it. As a technical note, we took the state of the art from solid-state transistors AND from tubes/valves and we use them seamlessly where each of these are at their best.

Sound

Never bright nor smooth, never slow nor raw, never clumsy nor chirurgical, the Prestige mono amplifiers are the obvious prolongation of the Prestige preamplifier and do not mask nor compress the master work made upstream.

The first 70 Watts operate in class A (over 8 Ohms) for a more carnal and fruity sound. The soundstage is real and there. The depth is amazingly tactile, and the reserve of power sufficient to insure proper dynamics from the depth of intimate music to the forte of a full orchestra.

Live experience is a vivid basis, and the Prestige range is closest to Absolute than anything else.

Non-compromised version of the Reference, Prestige mono amplifier offers thanks to its Class A and its mono design, an unleashed listening pleasure, with an even more fruited and carnal sound. Here, the tubes bring what they are good for. And we avoided using them where they are weak. The war between tubes & transistor is a false manichean debate. With the perfect technology mastery and diplomacy it requires, they are the best allies !

Its transparency and its dynamic are set far beyond common levels, and will allow you to drive any loudspeaker. The power-supplies of the Prestige amplifier are filtered by multiple self-inductances. This permits to obtain an exceptional signal-to-noise ratio. The mono Amplifier is hence specially dedicated to high-end or high-efficiency systems. The Prestige Preamplifier remote control will toggle the mono amplifier in normal or stand-by, to allow an immediate access to its highest level of musicality, without any warm-up time as required at first power-on (4 hours).
