Making cables seems pretty simple, until you look behind the scenes and see all of the steps, processes, and technology necessary to make high performance cables.
Everything from selecting the very best materials; copper from South America refined and processed in Japan, sophisticated dielectrics from the US, to meticulous processing and methodical control of every step requires both the latest technology and many years of experience to get the best possible performance.
Frankenphile is the culmination of over 30 years of experience designing and manufacturing very high performance cables; from industrial and premium home applications, as well as high-end audio and video applications. We’ve been around for quite a while, happy being “backstage” making top quality and complicated cable topologies for ome of our more illustrious private-label partners in the high-end industry.
So while you may not have heard of us until now, chances are you may have used some of our cables in one shape or form in the past.
Like our partners we share a great love of music and “the total acoustic experience”. When we listen to an orchestra, we want the music to reverberate through the room --- like we were actually there as they played. So our lab guys at Product Development never stop tweaking things in search of that sound rendition that will; in our words, “totally blow us away”. And we found some designs that do --- so we thought it’s only fair that we share that experience with you through Frankenphile.
Much like a five-star restaurant, every aspect of the product, process and end experience is under constant scrutiny. Like the executive chef, our team focuses on making nothing but the best. The experience of the team ensures that nothing but the best gets through to the end product.
Starting with the ultra pure copper drawing stock, all stages of the manufacturing are done in our manufacturing facility. The raw copper is drawn to size through several steps using pure diamond drawing dies to get the finest finish at the precise target diameter. It is then annealed to remove stresses created by the drawing process.
After annealing, it is then stranded in a carefully controlled pitch-rate using special machines to precisely locate each strand in the bundle. The stranded copper is then insulated with the specific insulation in special Swiss machines that can inject a very precise amount of gas into the molten plastic to get the exact dielectric properties necessary for the application. It is checked 100% in process with special instrumentation that can measure the diameter and dielectric properties continuously. Finally the cable may go through very elaborate braiding machines that can weave a complex braiding pattern around the cable, which then will have the final jacket extruded to protect the cable from the environment with the same precision as every previous step.
All of this must happen quickly since exposure to air, moisture and pollution will quickly degrade the inner components of the cable. This is why we do it all in our own facility, so we can control each step and quality in our own exacting standards.
So here we are. Our first offering of cables meant to give you the ultimate in depth, clarity and pure listening pleasure, as well as the latest technologies in High-Definition Video conveyance. But don’t take our word for it. We invite you to see and listen for yourself and share that experience with us.
After all, we had your discerning musical taste in mind when we built them. Let the music come back to life now like Frankenstein did.

Frankenphile Datalight-800 FIiber Optic Cable
The effectivity and accuracy of fiber optic cabling as a transmission medium for audio applications depends in large part on the clarity of the fiber itself, and the reflectivity of the cladding around it. Impurities in the optical fiber itself degrades the light signal.
